TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS By contracting the services of BOLIVIA HIGHLIGHTS, the following general conditions are accepted, whether the services are contracted directly or through an intermediary. These conditions cannot be disregarded or claimed as unknown under any circumstances.
- SERVICE CONTRACT A service contract with BOLIVIA HIGHLIGHTS is established only when a confirmation document is issued. This occurs after BOLIVIA HIGHLIGHTS receives the client’s request and full payment for the agreed-upon quotation.
- QUOTATIONS AND RESERVATIONS Quotations and reservations are prepared in detail according to the client’s requests. However, BOLIVIA HIGHLIGHTS reserves the right to modify the order of activities in the itinerary or route for operational reasons. These changes will be communicated promptly, along with the corresponding justification.
The detailed price is per person and includes everything specified in the itinerary. Personal expenses, taxes, tips, phone calls, or any service not explicitly mentioned in the itinerary are not included and will be considered extras. Prices are based on rates and/or exchange rates in effect at the time of contracting and may change due to variations in transportation, accommodation, service prices, or exchange rates. Prices may also be adjusted during holidays such as Christmas, New Year, and Carnival.
a) Modifications by the Client
BOLIVIA HIGHLIGHTS will strive to accommodate any modifications requested by the client after confirmation of the reservation or quotation, subject to additional costs incurred.
b) Modifications by BOLIVIA HIGHLIGHTS
BOLIVIA HIGHLIGHTS reserves the right to partially or entirely alter the planned itinerary, schedules, and excursions if necessary due to force majeure (e.g., geographic accidents, strikes, weather conditions, road conditions, or government directives). These changes will not affect the duration of the excursion.
If the trip extends beyond the agreed terms due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, acts of God, or force majeure not attributable to the organizer or transport companies, any resulting expenses will be borne by the passengers.
BOLIVIA HIGHLIGHTS acts solely as an intermediary between service providers (air, land, river, lake, maritime transport, accommodations, restaurants, etc.) and is not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by force majeure or other circumstances beyond its control, such as natural events, flight cancellations, itinerary changes, etc. Travelers are strongly advised to purchase travel insurance before their trip.
- TRAVEL INSURANCE AND DOCUMENTATION Transportation during excursions is covered by SOAT (Mandatory Traffic Accident Insurance).
BOLIVIA HIGHLIGHTS requires passengers to purchase travel insurance before departure. If not, travelers must inform BOLIVIA HIGHLIGHTS to arrange this service at an additional cost.
Adventure sports services do not include insurance coverage. BOLIVIA HIGHLIGHTS disclaims any responsibility in such cases.
Passengers must possess valid travel documents (passport, visas, vaccinations, or other required documentation). BOLIVIA HIGHLIGHTS is not liable for issues arising from document rejection by authorities. Passengers are responsible for covering any costs resulting from these issues, and cancellation terms will apply in such cases.
It is the passenger’s responsibility to ensure documents are valid and in good condition. Passengers traveling with minors must have the necessary authorizations for travel.
- RISKS All clients must be in good health to participate in the physical activities required for the contracted service. Clients with concerns should consult BOLIVIA HIGHLIGHTS for guidance regarding the services to be hired.
- CHILDREN POLICY BOLIVIA HIGHLIGHTS applies the following:
- Children aged 0 to 2 years: Free of charge, sharing all services with parents.
- Children aged 2 to 8 years: Special rates apply, depending on the service. Please request a quotation.
- Children over 8 years: Adult rates apply.
Hotel policies regarding children are subject to the individual terms of each hotel.
- AIR TICKETS Airlines generally hold reservations for only 24 hours. Immediate ticket issuance is recommended to secure the reservation.
Tickets must be fully prepaid to be issued, and complete passenger details (names, nationality, passport numbers, dates of birth) must be provided.
Any changes or cancellations after ticket issuance are subject to the airline’s policies.
- CONDUCT POLICY The company reserves the right to remove any traveler from a tour whose behavior, health condition, or actions disrupt the trip for others or jeopardize the excursion’s success. No refund will be provided in such cases.
- LUGGAGE Luggage is not part of the service contract and is solely the passenger’s responsibility. BOLIVIA HIGHLIGHTS is not liable for any issues related to luggage.
- RESPONSIBILITIES BOLIVIA HIGHLIGHTS contracts services from independent providers, which are beyond its control. The company is not responsible for death, personal injury, or losses caused by the acts or omissions of these providers or any event beyond its control.
Each service or program outsourced by BOLIVIA HIGHLIGHTS has its own cancellation, refund, and payment policies, which apply independently. BOLIVIA HIGHLIGHTS disclaims responsibility in these cases.

- Changes in fuel prices in Bolivia.
- Alteration of taxes related to quoted services.
- Increases in entry fees or government-controlled services (museums, ruins, etc.).
